We respect the privacy of our campers and staff

Protecting the privacy and safety of our campers and staff is our highest priority!

We will never provide any personal or private information about anyone without getting their permission first. That includes telling you the name of someone you see in a photo, or personal details like their address or phone number or email address.

If we have goofed, and your picture, e-mail address, or some other private information appears on the site and you want it removed, contact the website administrator and we will remove it immediately.

We respect your privacy too!

We don't collect any personal information about you, or your browsing habits, with the following exceptions:

• If you give us your email address when filling out a "Contact Us" form or choosing to subscribe to our online newsletters. We'll use it for that purpose, but we will never sell, trade, barter or share your email address.
• If you fill out an online camper registration or staff application, you will need to provide some personal details, like your name, address, and your child's date of birth and health information -- information that we need to have on hand to make sure your child's camp experience is safe and fun. Our camp database is operated by Thriva LLC, a company that specializes in event registration and information management. The online registration system is fully secure and encrypted. Your information is sent to our registrar and is kept on file in the camp database, and we may keep it for several years before it is destroyed. Camp directors and administrative staff (like the health care worker) are the only ones who can see it. We will never share any of this information with anyone else (except if required by law).
• If we offer something for sale on our website, we will ask for contact information for order processing. You may provide secure payments and donations by credit card using the online payment system provided by Thriva LLC. Alternately, you may make payments by mailing us a cheque or phoning the registrar and giving us your credit card information.
• We won't use "cookies" to track your web browsing habits. We do look at overall statistics (for example to see which pages are the most popular) but this data represents lots of different, anonymous browsers over a long period of time, and can't be traced back to you individually.

To err is human

This website is only about Laurentian Camp Cherith. We don't represent the opinions of other groups, like other Camp Cheriths or Pioneer Clubs. We try our best to make sure everything is accurate, but information isn't warranted and is subject to correction or removal at any time. We (Laurentian Camp Cherith staff, directors, and website administrator) can't be responsible for what you do with the information on our website, and we can't be liable for any damages or consequences as a result of your use of any information on the website. Not that we can think of any.

Inappropriate or Offensive Material

We have links on our website that will take you to other pages that we think you might find interesting. We never intend to link to anything offensive. But, websites can change, and we can't be responsible if a page we link to suddenly changes. If you see that happen, let us know and we'll fix it. Also, we have no control over who links to our website, and it's possible someone who links to us might have something offensive or inappropriate on their own site. Remember, links aren't necessarily endorsements. Again, if you see this happen, let us know and we'll do our best to fix it.
