Can you believe it?  Four weeks of summer camp just flew by!  Thanks to all the campers and staff who made history by being part of the first summer ever at our new campsite!  We had a great time and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again soon! Watch our site for photos and other updates!

There’s only a few days to go until camp starts!  We’ve received our building occupancy permits for our BRAND NEW cabins, and we’re working hard to get everything ready for you!  If you have registered as a camper or staff member, you should have received an email with several attachments including a packing list and a map to our new campsite.  Please contact us if you need this information resent.  Parents, please note you can mail letters to your children at camp — just click the “Contact” link for the address!

We’ve just turned on our new online registration system!  Now you can pay for your camper registrations online using your credit card, and once you’ve completed your registration, you’ll receive confirmation right away that you got the cabin and the activities that you wanted!  The system will also save your profile for when you register again next year!

Because this is new, we ask that you please let us know right away if you encounter any problems.  Please call (613) 288-5806 or email us and we will be happy to assist if you have any questions or issues with the online system.

If you have already registered, our registrar will enter your information into the new system for you, and we will contact you with instructions to activate your new online account.

If you’ve been monitoring our website over the past several weeks you have no doubt watched the transition as we are moving to an updated website design.  Over the coming weeks we will continue to make improvements and add photos and much more information.  We are very receptive to suggestions — please contact us if you have ideas!

Within the next few weeks you will also see a significant upgrade to our online registration system.  Your camper information will soon be saved in a password-protected profile (no more retyping!); you will be able to pay online using your credit card, and your registration will be immediately confirmed — no more waiting to see if you made it into the division or activities you requested! We’re very excited about this new system and look forward to rolling it out very soon.

We are working very hard behind the scenes to get everything ready for the summer! As you can see, a new look for our website is well under way. Here’s what else you can expect this year at camp:

A new location. Our plan is to run camp at our new site in Lanark. This site features huge fields, a beautiful riverfront, and flush toilets! (Don’t worry, we’ll still have outhouses too!) We’re very excited about having a place to call our own, and will be working hard to build everything we need (you can help us out by volunteering at our Spring Work Party). Please visit the Construction Progress section of our website to see how Phase 1 of our site development is progressing!

Four weeks of camp. For the first time ever, we are pleased to offer four consecutive weeks of summer camp! Come for just one week, two, three, or even all four!

The Service Team is back! We’ll have a lot of work to do this summer. If you are 15-17 years old, enjoy doing carpentry, building and fixing things, and want to have a part in building up our site, you’ll want to check this out!

New activities! Our new site offers new possibilities, and over the coming years we will be offering lots of exciting new choices. For 2009, we are introducing three new activities: cooking, digital photography, and extreme golf!

We will open our camper registration for summer 2009 very soon. We had previously anticipated opening on February 1, but this will be delayed slightly as we are working on installing a new web-based online registration system.
